Demo Plant Engineer

We are growing – and we are growing fast… and right now we are looking for a Demo Plant Engineer to join our site in Fredericia. In this role you will be a part of the process and liquefaction department and collaborate with the rest of the team to support activities related to operating our bio-oil demonstration plant.

How you will contribute to a world without fossil fuels

As our new Demo Plant Engineer, you will play an essential part in one of our biggest projects and priorities. You will be a part of the demonstration plant team to support construction, commissioning, operating, maintenance, planning, data processing, and optimization of the Fredericia demonstration plant. You will share the responsibility of running the demonstration plant together with the plant manager. 

Your primary tasks will be:

- Responsible for planning campaigns to support demonstrating the Kvasir process towards commercialization. Plan commissioning campaigns in the start-up phase 

- Responsible for samples, sampling, data collection/processing

- Responsible for commissioning of demonstration plant

- Support operating and maintenance on the plant, which includes sampling of products, preparing feedstock, monitoring the plant, cleaning pipes, dissembling and assembling of the plant- Support the design and construction of upgrades to the plant

Evening and night shifts may occur.

You will be reporting to the Head of Process & Liquefaction, and in co-operation with him you will build your position to ensure the success of ongoing and future projects. You will also work closely with the liquefaction team in Søborg.

 

What we are looking for

We are looking for a process/chemical engineer with a strong personal drive and +5 years of experience in plant operations within thermochemical, chemical, or refining technologies.

Also, we imagine that you have:

  • Expertise in planning campaigns on pilot/demonstration plants 
  • Expertise in handling samples and data from pilot/demonstration plants 
  • Expertise in plant operation as well as process instrumentation and automation
  • Experience from the oil & gas industry 
  • Experience with high temperature and high-pressure processes
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

You enjoy working in an international team where collaboration and knowledge sharing is key and you are a structured and proactive problem-solver who gets things done. 

You thrive with solving complex tasks, where the solutions are sometimes found using the trial-and-error method. Also, you are flexible and can adapt to an unpredictable workday where operating the plant could be replaced by maintenance.
